Mrs. Elizabeth Richards, the mother of Professor Z. Richards and Major A.C. Richards (superintendent of police), died this morning at the residence of Mr. A.S. Richards, 1509 10th Street, in the 87th year of her age. The deceased was a native of Cum[m]ington, Hampshire County, Massachusetts and with her husband (who died here about five years ago) lived in Ohio for about fifty years, but about ten years since removed to this city. She spent this summer in Ohio and returned here only about four weeks ago. She was remarkable for her good health, never having been ill enough to take medicine all her life. She was an estimable lady. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon and the interment will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
