Aria Averett Arnold, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge. She was 86, a resident of Walker and a native of Colyell.
Visiting was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home, 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Dr. Richard Blue and the Rev. Freddie Arnold. Intermentin Denham Springs Memorial Park.
Survived by a daughter, Gail Arnold; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald Arnold and James E. and Rita Arnold; a brother, Burlin Averett; seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, James S. Arnold; parents, Frank and Minnie Davis Averett; two sisters, Lois Onellion and Verna Davis; and a brother, Lloyd Averett. Pallbearers will be Kelly Arnold, Kenan Arnold, Jason Hinkle, Danny Van Oss, Kenny Davis and Gerald Davis.
She was a member of Springville Baptist Church, Livingston.
