Nancy Loraine Giles was born on March 26, 1955 in Ontario, OR, to Perry and Loraine Giles. She died on September 10, 2012 in Boise, with her loving family by her side.

She graduated from Borah High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in social work from Boise State University. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend, and her faith kept her strong through many trials and tribulations.

She is survived by her siblings: Larry, Leon, David, Dennis, Vicki, Victor and Pat.

In 1981, she was married to Douglas Rasmussen, a union that lasted 21 years. She will always be remembered by her five children: Kimberly, Benjamin, Rebecca, Hannah, and Sarah. She also had nine grandchildren and one due in November 2012, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Shamrock Stake Center, 11433 McMillan Rd. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012, followed by burial in Morris Hill Cemetery. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the services in the Relief Society room.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mountain States Tumor Institute, c/o St. Luke's Health Foundation, 190 E. Bannock, Boise 83712.

The family would like to thank everyone who stood by Nancy's side until she finally found peace.
