The body of George Floyd, of 2517 NW 26, will lie in state until Tuesday noon in Guardian Funeral Home. Floyd, 69, died Monday in Wesley Hospital. Funeral for Floyd, a lease oil broker for 30 years, will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday in Linwood Methodist Church with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
A native of Fort Smith, AR, Floyd moved with his family to Stillwater in 1930. He had lived in Oklahoma City since 1942.
Survivors are his wife, Delia Jane, of the home; six daughters, Mrs Ruth Allen, 2928 NW 16; Mrs Kitty Johnson, 2945 NW 60; Mrs Edith (Edythe) Fry and Mrs Dorothy King, both of Stillwater; Mrs Reba Trotter, Chicago, IL and Mrs Jayne Setzkorn, Mount Vernon, IL; a son, Ross R. Floyd, New Orleans, LA; a brother, Mack Floyd, Midpines, CA; and five grandchildren.
