Roy David Younker was the son of Fred Benjamin and Addie Gipson Younker. Roy was a professional baseball player for many years--the highlight of his career was playing in the Pacific Coast League with the Hollywood Stars, Sacramento Solans and the Portland Beavers--he was on the pennant winning team of 1945 with the latter. In later life he worked with youth in summer camps for the SDA church.
