CANADICE — Married on the 17th inst., at the residence of the father of the bride (Henry McCrossen) by the Rev. R. T. Hancock, Mr. Asa Ganung to Miss Libbie McCrossen, both of Canadice. Mr. G. being engaged in teaching, they are necessarily precluded from enjoying an extended tour, and are spending the holidays with their numerous friends in town.

Asa Ganung — A former resident of Canadice, was killed almost instantly, at his home in Livonia, on Thursday, August 24, 1922, by slipping off the ladder on which he was standing, on the tin roof of his porch. He fell to the cement walk below, causing a fracture of the skull which caused almost instant death. He was 69 years old. His boyhood and early married life were passed in Canadice. Moving to Livonia, he engaged in business, and at the time off his death he was one of the oldest business men in the place. He was a deacon in the Baptist church. He had filled a number of town and village offices, and at the time of his death was town clerk, which office he had held for a number of years. The funeral was held on Monday, August 28. All in this vicinity feel that Livonia has lost an honest, upright citizen. He is survived by four children and his wife, his son. Earl, and daughter, Mrs. George Backus, of Livonia, Miss Edna Ganung, of Bennington, Vt. and Mrs. Yorks, of Grand Forks, N. D.
