"Mrs. Jacob Daniels was fatally injured at her home near Maurice on Sunday morning, May 31, by falling down the cellar stairs. She lingered in great pain until Tuesday, June 2, when she passed quietly away at eight o'clock in the evening. Marcia Constance was born in Zeeland, Netherlands, March 3, 1839, and came to this country with her parents in 1855, settling in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., where she was married to Jacob Daniels Jan. 20, 1864. They lived for a time in Kenosha county, Wis., where seven children were born to them, moving to Maurice, Iowa, in November, 1881, where she resided at the time of her death. She was preceded to the better country by her husband and two children, leaving five remaining children to mourn her loss."
