Clara Elsie Daniels was born September 2, 1868, at Bristol, Wisconsin [Some in the family believed it was Sheboygan, Wisconsin]. She came with her parents to Iowa at the age of thirteen, residing near the town of Maurice. On the 9th of December, 1896, she was united in marriage to Otto Kuhl of Maurice. In February, 1910, she came with her husband to Faulkton, South Dakota, where she resided until her death. Mrs. Kuhl had been failing in health for some time, and was taken seriously ill on the 31st of December, growing steadily worse until she passed away the morning of January 21, 1933. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband; two sons, Fred Kuhl and Harold Kuhl; five daughters, Mrs. John Bauhs, Mrs. Ed Myers, Mrs. Al Bowar, Mrs. Cliff McCormick, and Miss Clara Kuhl, all of Faulkton; one brother, Fred Daniels of Granton, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. James Lancaster of Faulkton, and Miss Harriet Daniels of Sioux City, Iowa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Mattie MacPherson of Libertyville, Illinois, and Mrs. Cora Dunning of Neehah, Wisconsin.
