Mrs. Laura (Fawcett) Magee, 63, of 231 Second Street SW, Carrollton, born April 7, 1886 in Lee Township, Carroll County, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, at her residence. She had been in failing health for two years suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. She had lived in Carrollton four years and was a life resident of Carroll County. She was a member of the Carrollton Methodist Church and was married February 23, 1909 to George Magee, who expired June 22, 1949. Her late parents were James and Mary (Morehead) Fawcett.
She is survived by two sons, Earl of Brewster and Ralph of Carrollton; two daughters, Bertha and Ethel of the home; one sister, Mrs. W. S. Wilson of near Carrollton and three grandchildren. A daughter, Eileen Elizabeth, passed away October 6, 1930, one brother, James H. Fawcett and one sister, Mrs. Olive Lawrence also preceded her in death. Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Allmon Funeral Home with Rev. B. T. Lomas officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery. Calling hours will be after 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the funeral home.
