Dawn Wyone Hughes, 78, of Flora, passed away Sept. 8, 2012, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham.
She was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Garden City, South Dakota, the daughter of Bryan C. and Violet Fern Stoner Challand. She married Jack Hughes and he preceded her in death.
Dawn is survived by two sisters, Gloria Jones and Dea Checchin.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and brother, Jack C. Challand.
Graveside service was held at German Methodist Cemetery.
