Mrs. Gladys Jones
Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Laverne Mixon Jones, 57, of Minden were held today (Friday, January 25) at 2 p.m. in the Rose Neath chapel with Bro. Tom Barnes of the First Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones died January 23 at LSU Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was a long-time resident of Minden, formerly from Winn Parish, a housewife, and a Pentecostal.
Her survivors include her husband, Clifford Jones, Minden; her mother, Bessie Barnes, Minden; three sons, Charlie Henderson, Dubberly; Richard Matthews, Minden; and Mickey Matthews, Castor; two daughters, Donna Babin and Terri Ruthhardt, both of Minden; three sisters, Bernice Bryant and Faye Carver of Minden, and Jeannie Mims, Slidell; one brother, R.L. Mixon, Minden; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
