Funeral services for Mr. R.L. Mixon, 59, were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Barge Elmore officiating. He
died Friday, Sept. 3 in Minden. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Mixon was born in Winnfield and resided in Minden. He was a retired electrician at Tucker Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Lavetra Mixon; one very special granddaughter, Georgia Mangrum, both of Minden; three daughters, Karen McClary of Minden, Janet Stevens of
Minden and Toni Mangrum of Monroe; three sisters, Bernice "Dimp" Bryant of Minden, Faye Frazier Miller of Minden, and Jeannie Mims of Slidell; one sister-in-law, Sybil Mixon of Dubberly; six grandchildren, Valerie and Kayla Brantley of Minden, Austin McClary of Cotton Valley, and Jim and Ryan Andrews of Repton, Ala.; and one great-grandchild, Christopher Brantley of Minden.
Pallbearers were David Edwards, R.O. Machen, Kerry Dale McClary, Jim Bob Sheppard, Jerry Adams, and Chris Basco.
