Leo Jacob Meisheid
A foreman for the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, Leo Meisheid, 54, of Carroll, Iowa, died Monday, January 13, 1969, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha after being in failing health for six weeks.

Mr. Meisheid was born February 8, 1914, at Bruno, Saskatchewan, Canada, and came to the Roselle community in Carroll County, Iowa as a child. He received his education at Roselle. On June 13, 1936, he was married to Thelma M. Cortright at St. Ann's Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

He had been with the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company for 23 years and had been foreman since 1963. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 167.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Delvin (Mary Lou) Lynch and Mrs. Claire M. (Betty) Oswald, Omaha, NE; a son, Robert, of Phoenix, AZ; and the following brothers and sisters: John of Santa Monica, CA; Louis, Patterson, NJ; Mrs. Frank Lammers, Carroll, IA; Henry M., Dedham, IA; Mrs. Claude (Anna) Holt, Orlando, FL; Bill and Joe.

Preceding him in death were a sister and brother, Mary and Pete Meisheid.

A Requiem mass for Mr. Meisheid was celebrated Wednesday, January 15th at St. Lawrence Church, with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Twitt Funeral Home, Carroll, IA. The rosary was recited on Tuesday at 3, 8, and 8:45 p.m. and an Elks' memorial service was also held Tuesday evening.
