Died at noon Sunday, Aug. 6, 1978, at Opelousas General Hospital. He was 64, a native and resident of Opelousas. Body at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home, Opelousas, with visiting from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. Religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Opelousas. Burial in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Survived by his mother, Mrs. Arduse Fontenot, Church Point; his wife; one son, Harold Fontenot; three daughters, Mrs. John Ed. (Virval) Bradley, and Mrs. John (Carolyn) Ferrazzano and Mrs. Mike (Myra) Carrigan, all of Opelousas; four brothers, C.J. Fontenot, Los Altos, Calif., Emery J., Remi and Kenneth Fontenot, all of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Huey Guidry, Church Point.
He was a former state senator and was presently serving on the State Parole Board.
