Survived by his mother, Mrs. Arduse Fontenot, Church Point; his wife; one son, Harold Fontenot; three daughters, Mrs. John Ed. (Virval) Bradley, and Mrs. John (Carolyn) Ferrazzano and Mrs. Mike (Myra) Carrigan, all of Opelousas; four brothers, C.J. Fontenot, Los Altos, Calif., Emery J., Remi and Kenneth Fontenot, all of Baton Rouge; one sister, Mrs. Huey Guidry, Church Point.
He was a former state senator and was presently serving on the State Parole Board.
