Marion was born outside of Commerce, Texas. His Dad, Flemming Birdsong first married Mary Winton Sept 22, 1872 in Hunt Co. Texas.. They had 3 daughters, Josephine 1873, Katie, & Rose. Source US Census 1880, Hunt County, Texas) I do not know what happened to Mary. I have not found a grave of hers or a death certificate. I suspect she died in childbirth since that happened a lot back then, however I cannot prove that. Flemming then married Mary's cousin Sarah L. Winton Oct 31, 1884 in Delta Co. Texas. Sarah L. Winton Birdsong died in childbirth having Marion Flemuel. He was the only child of that union. My source for this info about Marion Flemuel's mothers death came from Raymond Ray Birdsong who was Marion Flemmuels son. Marion Flemuel lived in the Rattan, Oklahoma area during his teens. After he married his first wife Hattie May Anderson in Soper, OKlahoma, , he worked for different oil Co's. He & Hattie & their children, moved around a lot following the Oil strikes in Oklahoma. Some places they lived were Drumright, Shidler, & Dillard Oklahoma. His last job for an oil Co was in Dillard, Oklahoma. After the death of Hattie on Feb 3, 1945, Marion married Sarah Smith April 29, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Marion & Sarah did not have any children together. Sarah's FAG memorial # is 47372031.

Marion Flemuel Birdsong & his first wife Hattie had one more child who is not listed here on this site.. His name was Alvin Joe Birdsong b.9/20/1928 in Ardmore, Carter, Oklahoma. d.4/23/1993 He is buried in the Point Loma Cemetery, San Diego County, California.
