Funeral services for Raymond R.Birdsong, 76, of Cushing, will be held at 2p.m. Saturday October 20, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Cushing. Reverend David G. Plank will officiate at the church service and following interment in the Fairlawn Cemetery, N. of Cushing.

Funeral services and following interment will be under the direction of the Palmer Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma.

Raymond was born August 30, 1914 in Soper, Oklahoma to the late Marion & Hattie (Anderson) Birdsong. He recieved his early education & graduated from the Fox Highschool. He met & was married to Virginia (Hobbs) on June 11, 1939 making their first home in Fox, OK> They lived in Wilson, Oklahoma before moving to Cushing in 1954.

Raymond worked as a Production Superintendent for the Woods Oil & Gas Company. Mr Birdsong also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Mr Birdsong departed this life on Wednesday October 17, 1990 at the Cushing Regional Hospital.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Virginia Birdsong of the home in Cushing. One son, Bobbie Ray Birdsong of Del City, OK, 2 daughters, Shelia Ryan of Oklahoma City & Debbie Faubian of Oolagah, OK. One brother, Alvin Joe Birdsong of San Diego, California, 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, & sisters.
