She was born November 5, 1923 to Everett and Mildred Hudson. Winifred lived life to the fullest. She graduated from high school in Wheatland, Wyoming and attended college in Pasadena, and then NNU.
She was a pastor's wife for 63 years and a school teacher for 24 of those years. She helped raise seven children, and never failed to mention the 8th child who preceded her to heaven. She blessed everyone around her with a firm sense of propriety.
Mom always knew how to do it the right way!! She shared her knowledge selflessly and always made those around her just a little bit smarter. She often referred to herself as a people-person and wanted to make a difference in other's lives. There will be many who will never forget her influence and instruction. We will miss you mom. Your absence will change our lives.
Winifred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Carter; her sister, Herriett Merritt; and a daughter, Ruth Sheryl.
She is survived by her seven children: David S. (Pam) Carter, Jonathan (Sharon) Carter, Carol Carter, Joanna (Vance) Harada, Grace (Mike) Norwood, Ben (Jennifer) Carter and Paul (Laura) Carter; 23 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; double cousins; nieces and nephews.
