Miles City, March 3 ---- Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ellen Burgess, widow of the late John H Burgess, pioneer resident of Rosebud, will be held here Monday afternoon from the Graves chapel, with the Rev M V Higbee, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating.
Mrs. Burgess was born at Wolf Creek, W VA., Dec 17, 1864, and had been a resident of the Rosebud community for the last 26 years.
She died Thursday.
Interment will be in the Miles City cemetery beside the grave of Mr.
Burgess, following the chapel services.
Immediate relatives are a daughter, Mrs. Hallie Jacobs, and a granddaughter, Miss Ruby Jacobs of Anoka, MN., a sister Mrs. C E Copeland, and a brother, Perry Conner, of Charlestown, W Va.
A son, John Joe, died in 1918.
