Miss Matilda Spilde, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Spilde, died in Spokane, Washington, on November 11th last, and was buried the Sunday following. Miss Spilde was about 33 years of age, and had been invalid for many years. In 1908 she went to California for her health and lived for about a year and a half at Woodland. Afterwards she lived in Spokane with her sister Mrs. Alvin Butler. Sometime over a month ago her condition became so serious that her mother went to Spokane to be with her. She had the best of loving care, but nothing could avail, and she faced the inevitable bravely, sustained by Christian hope. Miss Spilde was baptized and confirmed by Rev. O. Nilsen, and remained steadfast in her faith. Her relatives have the sincerest sympathy of all in their bereavement.
