He married Florine Shields in 1935; she died in 1994.
An infant son, James, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Boggs retired as a farmer and worked for McNess and Fuller Brush Dealer. He was a member of Witt Christian Church.
Survivors: two sons, Alvin (wife, Margaret) Boggs of Pawnee and Quincy (wife, Shari) Boggs of Edinburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother, Ennis (wife, Rebecca) Boggs of Virden; and sister, Ethel Bowen of Waverly.
Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, the Rev. Ken Lawson officiating.
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Riverton.
