Mrs. Mendenhall suffered a stroke five years ago and has been bedfast ever since. Born to John and Anna Ratcliff Aug. 21, 1877, at New Sharon, she married Clayton Mendenhall at Kellogg Sept. 6, 1895. She spent her childhood and was educated in the Lynnville schools.
Survivors are one son, Lester of Kellogg; one brother, Frank Ratcliff of Oskaloosa; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Holdsworth of Lynnville; two grandchildren, Mrs. Maynard Sears, Monroe, and Ralph Mendenhall, Kellogg; and one great grandchild, Betty Jean Sears of Monroe.
Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson-Murdoch funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John R. Binkley officiating. Burial will be in Our Silent City cemetery at Kellogg.
