Harry Ernest Arthur, Jr., 68, of Brown Rd., died Wednesday Sept. 5, 2012 at Hospice at Wendover, Shelby. Harry was born on Sept. 23, 1943, a son of Vevette Wehunt Arthur of Cherryville and the late Harry Ernest Arthur, Sr.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his first wife Judy Parker Arthur.
Survivors include his wife Connie Alessi Arthur , his sons Buddy Arthur and wife Susan of Rockwell, Jeff Arthur of Virginia, and Dusty Arthur and wife Amanda of Statesville, grandchildren Dillon Arthur of Wilmington and Loki Arthur of Statesville, step son Benjamin Bonaventura of Manhatten, sister Judy Willis and husband Mickey of Vale, and Betsy Chapman and husband Marvin of Sherrill's Ford, and a brother John Arthur and wife Jean of Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 5 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Bob White and Rev. Ray Pennell officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
