Sam attended school and grew up in the Crawford Community where he helped his parents farm, until going into the Armed Services, where he served in Germany for two years.
Sam will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and three brothers.
He is survived by his father, Rufus W. Allen of Cheyenne, two brothers, Jack I. Allen of Crawford, Clovis W. Allen of Liberal, Kansas; four sisters, Meadow Bell Smith of Roswell, New Mexico; Tennie Dale Campbell, Ellen Daniels and Jimmie Lou Willmoth all of Cheyenne, OK.
Services were held August 23, 1984 in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne, Oklahoma with Aubrey Cowan officiating and A.L. Martin assisting.
Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of the Rose Chapel Funeral Home Service of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Pall bearers were Jodi, Johnnie, Jerry, Jackie, Jimmie Allen, Ardith Daniels, Blaine Stump and Bill Farrell.
