ROCK FALLS - Samuel D. Andrews, 85, 228 Avenue D, died Saturday evening in Dixon Public Hospital.
He was born in Lawrence, Mass., and moved to Rock Falls in 1920. He was a mason and brick layer. He was the oldest member of the Brick Layers, masons and Plasters, Local 33.
Survivors are his widow, Dora; three sons, Samuel, Milwaukee, Clyde, Sterling, and James, Rock Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Wessells, Sterling, and Mrs. LeRoy Rowlands, Polo; two brothers; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home. Rev. Brace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Friends may call after noon Sunday in the funeral home.
