Betty Ruth Bruner

Snyder

Betty Ruth Bruner, born July 18, 1927 in Roby, Texas to JT and Eula Feagan of Roby, died September 1, 2012 at age 85. She married Don Bruner on August 17, 1945 in Waco, TX. A daughter Betsy was born in Waco, and the family moved shortly thereafter to Roby, TX. In Roby their son Mike was born. In 1951 Betty Ruth and Don moved to Snyder, TX where Don worked in the oilfield in various capacities. Betty and Don eventually moved to Abilene, TX where Betty worked as the interior designer/decorator for Thornton's department store chain for 24 years. As Mike and Betsy started TX Tech, Betty and Don moved to a home on Lake Sweetwater. When Don passed away, Betty moved to Snyder to live with Betsy. Betsy and Betty eventually moved to Dallas in 2005. At the time of her passing, Betty and Betsy were visiting her son Mike and his wife Helen in River Falls, WI.

Betty Ruth Feagan Bruner was preceded in death by her parents JT and Eula Feagan, brother Edward Clay Feagan, and husband Don Bruner. She is survived by one son Mike Bruner of River Falls, WI and wife Helen, one daughter Betsy Griffin of Carrollton, TX. Betty Ruth is also survived by eight grandsons and twelve great grandchildren; John Griffin and wife Amanda, with daughters Audrey and Lilly of Garland, TX; Brodie Bruner and wife Teri with children Brendan, Brantley and Brooklynn of Lucas, TX; Jim Griffin and wife Kelli with sons Graham and Gage of Plano, TX; Jay Griffin of Carrollton, TX; Bryan Bruner and wife Marci with children Margo, Hayes and Harris, of Colleyville, TX; Brady Bruner and wife Paige with daughter Jubilee of Dallas, TX; Gabe Hutton and wife Erin with daughter Maria of New Richmond, WI; Grant Hutton of Rosemount, MN; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family asks that donations be made to the SPCA, in honor of Betty Ruth's dedication and love of animals, or any other charity that helps build up people or cares for animals. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, from 5:00-6:00 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Bruner will be Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Snyder at 2:00 PM. with Mr. Richard Melton officiating. Interment will follow at the Roby Cemetery.
