1st m. SLY, Gelding DeLyle
2nd m. someone she despised
3rd m. LEAVITT, Wilfred
4th m. BURK, Jackson

Son: SLY, Douglas DeLyle
Dau: , Arleen

Seven grandchildren, the first one she raised.

There are many dates, photos, stories, ect... and her letters I have always treasured... that I plan to add when I can get to it.

But still, after all these years, I find myself crying at how someone with so much love was hurt and taken advantage of those she loved when I try to work on her memorial.
She deserved to have been treated so much better than she was!

Hardly a day passes you will not hear me say "my Granny taught me, my Granny told me, ect...", or me telling the stories of wisdom she passed on to me.

She suffered a lot in her short life, sadly by those she did so much for. Still she was so full of love and warmth. She loved the outdoors! Loved road trips! I don't think there'a ghost town in Nevada we didn't go to at least once.

She would crochet perfectly without ever looking down at her dollies, table covers, and she did these with beads she had strung in precise order crocheting flowers into her pattern. She made the best bread in Virgin Valley, Nevada. We use to barter it for gallons of fresh milk, bushels of vegetables, ect... She was a rock hound, she loved Mother Earth but she loved her family the most.

I was her 3rd grandchild and she gave me a blessing:

"Baby Jo Ann with a little doll face, Looks so lovely all dressed in lace.

With a little stub nose and curly hair, With a smile on her face for she has not a care.

May she grow healthy and oh so fine, this little baby daughter, this blessed child of mine.

With intelligence and knowledge and kindness so deep, May she grow with it and have it to keep.

When the sorrows of life fall her way, May she think and remember, there’s always another day.

May she be blessed throughout her life. May she grow fine and kind and make beautiful wife.

Bless Her Granny Reva"

My precious Granny <3,
She taught me so many things, including always putting names and dates on photos.

I was living in Texas when it was decided to get rid of her things, what was left after her daughter sold and took what she wanted. I didn't go, I couldn't even stand the thought of the people who treated her badly in life, took advantage of her, ect, ravishing through her things, and no doubt belittling their value.
I waited until the vultures were done knowing if I was there that anything I wanted they would decide they had to have.

It worked out well ;) there was her photo album, left untouched! The treasure of treasures!
