He was born April 5, 1917 in Fillmore, Utah to Alma and Ruby Brunson.
He married Alice Bartholio in 1949; she died in 1982. Ward served in the US Army during World War II. He retired from Kennecott Copper, where he worked as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his son, Leland, and a granddaughter, Anastasia Gross. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice; parents; brother, Rulon; sister, Reva; and granddaughter, Melanie Brunson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, where friends and family may call on Friday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
