Lucretia V. "Trink" McLaughlin, age 87, went home to the Lord on June 24, 2012. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Destin after a brief illness.
Trink was born in York, PA, on November 11, 1924 to Alice M. (Jones) and Albert N. Trimmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Henry and Charles Trimmer, and her sisters, Betty Lou Conley and Mary Lou Trimmer. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Kain, of Glen Mills, PA; her son, Stephen (Mary Kraemer) McLaughlin, of Destin, FL; grandsons, Michael (Jennifer) Kain, of Harrisburg, PA, Matthew (Natalie) Kain, of Aston, PA, and Conor McLaughlin, of Tallahassee, FL; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Ryan Kain, of Aston; sister, Dolores Hersh (Dick), of York, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whom she loved.
Gran enjoyed reading her Bible daily, story-time at Destin Elementary School, exercising with her friends, and, recently, learning her family's history using her iPad.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Destin Elementary School Library, 630 Kelly Street, Destin, FL 32541. A private family graveside service was held at Destin Memorial Cemetery.
