On September 5, 1878 she was united in marriage to Henry Allen Taylor. To this union ten children were born. Two children died in infancy.

Maggie cared for their children, while Henry worked on building the first railroad through part of Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church. She was a gold star Mom who gave four sons to the Army; one son, Albert, was killed in action during World War I.
