Ms. Wendy Kay Wilson, 59, of Dunn died Sunday September 2, 2012 at Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh. She was born October 31, 1952 in Kinston, NC to Anna Hungerford Wilson and the late John Rose Wilson.

Wendy was raised in Clearwater Beach, FL and was a graduate of Dunedin High School, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a self-employed Entrepreneur and an accomplished piper. She was a member of Divine Street United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 8:00 PM Wednesday at Divine Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Wilburn officiating. Burial will be private.

She is survived by: sons, Whitfield Gibson and wife Jennifer of Raleigh, Christopher Gibson and wife Lyndsey of Durham; a sister, Anna Fishel of Winston –Salem; her mother, Anna H. Wilson of Clearwater Beach, FL; nieces, Anna Louise Fishel, Sarah Jourdain, Tatum Fishel and nephew Matt Fishel.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the chapel at Divine Street United Methodist Church.
