Mrs. Dorothy Haynes Alexander, 88, of Murfreesboro died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. She was a native of Bedford County, a retired employee of the World Champion Horse Equipment Co. and a member of the Southeast Baptist Church of Murfreesboro.

She was the daughter of the late William Clinton and Virginia Dale Melson Haynes and the wife of the late James Hoyle Alexander. She was preceded in death by son Jim Alexander.

She is survived by daughter Mrs. Todd (Carole) Lamb of Murfreesboro; sister Dale Haynes Sanders of Shelbyville; grandchildren Jennifer Claire Rodriguez of Jefferson, Ga., Judith Carole Alexander and James Clinton Alexander Jr., both of Shelbyville and Stephen Tyler Lamb of Murfreesboro; and great-granddaughter Jana Leighann Balsamo.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. TODAY, Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Hillcrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Vinson officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.
