Rites for Robert E. Turner are Held At French Camp

Robert Elisha Turner, father of Mrs. W. A. Taylor and R. E. Turner. Jr., died at the home of Mrs. Taylor last Wednesday night.

Mr. Turner, who was 84, was born in French Camp and had lived his entire life there until six months ago, when he and his wife moved to Mrs. Taylor's because of their failing health. He was an active member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Attala County and a Mason. He was a retired farmer.

Funeral services were held last Friday at French Camp Presbyterian Church with Rev. Sam Patterson officiating. Masonic graveside services were held at the French Camp Cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home of Kosciusko in charge. Pall bearers were Gilmer Ables, Bobby Scarbrough, Bill Taylor, Jerry Donald. Price Pascall, and Floyd Rowls.

Suvlvors other than his wife, Mrs. Taylor and Mr. Turner are Robert W. Turner, of Livingston, Texas, Eric L. Turner of Jackson, and Ira A. Turner, Texas. Mrs. Herman Scarbrough of Belzoni, Mrs. Allen Tyler of Kosciusko, and Mrs. Bob Barbee of Charlotte, N. C: one brother, Irby Turner of Pascagoula and one sister, Mrs. Nannie Rowles of Columbus; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
