Cooper Turner Is Buried At McCool

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Berea Baptist Church, at McCool, Miss., for Cooper Turner, who died of a heart attack at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Miss., on February 12.

Mr. Turner was born June 2, 1879, at McCool, Miss., and was a member of the Berea Baptist Church. AAt the time of his death he was employed by the Edwards Hotel in Jackson.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C.U. Cannon, of Vaiden, Miss., Mrs. Grace DeLoach and Mrs. Harold Wright of Leland; two sisters, Mrs. P.G. Rawles, of Durant, and Mrs. Alonzo Carr, Orange, Texas; five brothers, Emmett Turner, Durant; Luther Turner, Mt. Belview, Texas; Bob Turner, French Camp; Joe Turner, Vinton, La., and Erthie Turner of Pascagoula. His nephews served as pallbearers.
Friends of the family attending the funeral from Leland were Mrs.F.H. Maugh, Rev. Chester L. Quarles, Mrs. Amos Prewitt, Mrs. Joe Weir, Mrs. Jimmy McClintock and Mrs. Dewey Molloy.
