Martha A. Osborne Farnam, former longtime resident of Yuma, died Wednesday in Prescott. She was 83.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hampton's Funeral Home there.

The former Mrs. D. Y. Osborne, she was born in Cookville, Tennessee, and moved to the Yuma Valley to farm in 1918 with her husband and two daughters. She was a pioneer member of the Valley Baptist Church.

In the early 1950s, Mr. and Mrs. Osborne moved to Prescott, where he died in 1961. She later married B. H. Farnam, who survives her.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Coe (Mary) Smith of Yuma and Mrs. F. L. (Bertie) Power of Prescott; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. (Harriett) Crowder of Yuma and Mrs. W. L. (Agnes) Phillips of Laguna Beach, Calif.; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
