D. Y. Osborne, Former Yuman, Dies in Prescott

D. Y. Osborne, 80, former Yuma Valley farmer, died at 4 a.m. today in a Prescott hospital, according to word received by local relatives.

Funeral services are to be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott Friday, followed by burial in a Prescott cemetery.

He was born in Lebanon, Tennessee, March 29, 1881. He farmed in the Yuma Valley for 34 years before moving to Prescott in 1952.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Alabama Osborne, two daughters, Mrs. Coe Smith of Yuma and Mrs. S. L. Power of Prescott; one grandson, Stanley Power; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ellis and John of Yuma Valley, and Cecil of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Steele of Wichita and Mrs. Ralph Schrader of Yuma, also several nieces and nephews.
