ORANGEBURG - Services for Nellie Mae Griffin Laird, 77, formerly of Denmark, will be held at 3 p. m. November 23, 1997 at Cannon Bridge Road Church of God, with burial in Denmark Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 tonight at Mercer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Laird, widow of Franklin Griffin Sr. and James Laird, died November 20, 1997, at Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. Born in Bamberg, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Jeanette Carrigg Sr. She was a homemaker and member of Denmark Church of God.
Surviving are sons, Steve Griffin of Neeses, Daniel Griffin of Allendale; brothers, Johnny Carrigg of Orangeburg, Shelly Leva Carrigg of Colorado; sisters, Ruby Lee Davis and Alma Robertson, both of Orangeburg, and Deloris Wooten of Florence; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
