DENMARK, June 6 - T. Crawford Cox, 66, of Denmark, veneer manufacturer, died Tuesday evening at the Orangeburg Regional Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Cox, a resident of Denmark since 1920, was married to the former Mary Weaver of Lexington, N. C.
He was president of veneer plants in Denmark and Elloree. He had extensive real estate holdings in Myrtle Beach and was a director of the Edisto Bank of Denmark.
A native of Lexington, N. C., he was the son of W. A. and Lunda Cox of Davidson County, N. C. He was a member of the Denmark Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge and was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and at the time of his death he was serving on the official board. He was a member of the building committee for the Memorial Educational Building of the Bethel Park Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted from Bethel Park Church at 11 a. m. Thursday by the Rev. B. S. Drennon, pastor and the Rev. A. F. Ragan, former pastor.
Burial will be in the Denmark cemetery.
Survivors include his widow; one son, W. F. Cox of Myrtle Beach, and two daughters, Mrs. J. K. Fairey of Denmark and Mrs. O. W. Watson, Jr. of Elloree; four brothers, J. A. Cox and F. M. Cox of Franklinton, N. C., W. L. Cox and R. K. Cox of Denmark; four granddaughters and one grandson. One son, Albert Cox of Denmark, and Air Force fighter pilot and recipient of Several Air Force Medals, was killed in action in Korea in 1953.
