Former rural school teacher, May N. Kruger died at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield on September 18, 1990 at the age of 89. Funeral services were held at the Johnson Hagglund Funeeral Home in Litchfield on September 22 with Rev. DAvid Anderson officiating. The organist was Evelyn Kittelson with JoAnn Benson as soloist. Serving as pallbearers were Dean Dietel, Kenneth Storm, John Korman, Carl Baumgartner, Wayne Baumgartner, W. James Reed, Eric Lindenbolt and russell Eckhoff.
Mae was born Feb 17, 1901 in Fairmont to August and Dora (Benway) Baumgartner. She was a school teacher in the rural schools of Meeker County for several years.
Surviving are a brother, J. Robert Baumgartner of Green Bay, Wi; a sister, Charlotte Ring of Hutchinson: and nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles, and two brothers, Leo and Roy.
Interment was in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield October 4 1990 Litchfield Independent Review.
