"JACKSON, IRENE -- age 79, a resident of Coalfield, Tenn., passed away at her home Saturday, August 20, 1994. Mrs. Jackson is a lifelong resident of Coalfield and a lifelong member of Middlecreek [Middle Creek] Baptist Church. She enjoyed raising flowers and caring for her lawn and was also a member of Coalfield Senior Citizens. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nancy Wiggins Wormsley; her husband, Welch Jackson, brothers Sam, Clyde, and Charlie Wormsley. Survivors: sons, Donald and wife, Madge Jackson of Kingston, Tenn., Jackie A. and wife, Sherrell Jackson, Jerry and wife, Sharon Jackson, all of Coalfield; daughter, Naomi and husband, D. B. Daugherty of Coalfield; sisters, Lillian Jones of Swanses, S.C., Helen Maston of Coalfield; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held 8:30 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Carr and Rev. Lloyd [Loyd] Napier officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday between the hours of 7-8:30 p.m. Graveside service and interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Estes Cemetery, Coalfield, Tenn. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs."
