Reinhart R. Zipperer, age 80, of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, formerly of Cato, passed away on Saturday December 19, 1992, at the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville, with the Rev. David Kipfmiller officiating and burial to follow in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
He was born June 30, 1912, in Whitelaw, son of the late George and Frances Kleingeisin Zipperer. He was married to Leona Zahn on July 31, 1935, at Silver Lake. He was a painter in the Manitowoc County Area his entire life. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Charles Walt, Reedsville, Sandie and Mike Dewane, San Diego, Calif., two sons and three daughters-in-law, Reinhart Jr., and Laura Zipperer, Manitowoc, Rolland and Brenda Zipperer, Potter, and Darlene Sheehy, Reedsville, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Viola Katheiser, Port Washington, Marion Frieberg and Lillian Yanda, both of Manitowoc, Alvina and Norbert Scharenbroch, Charlevoix, Mich.; five brothers and one sister-in-law, Edward, Bernard and Delores Zipperer, all of Manitowoc, Harry and Lester Zipperer, both of Cato, and Thomas Zipperer, Palm Springs, Calif.; a special friend, Elaine O’Neil, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Marjorie and Elmer Potratz, Milwaukee and Alice Zahn, Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his wife, December 11, 1982, one son, Allan, a sister, Laura Reznichek, and a brother, William.
