Mrs. Walter Herzog, 56, of the town of Maple Grove died Friday moring at home following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be Monday at St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville, the Rev. Harvey Heckendorf officiating. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Brillion.
Mrs. Herzog was born Laura Wordell, Aug. 17,1906, in the Town of Maple Grove, daughter of the late Gustave Wordell and Bertha Reimer Wordell. She was married June 19, 1927, to Walter Herzog. She was a member of St. John and St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, and its Ladies Aid Society and of the Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Myron of rural Reedsville; two daughters, Mrs. Cyril Serwe of Frontenac, Minn., and Carol at home; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Wordell of Manitowoc; a brother, Edgar of Kiel; and five sisters, Mrs. Andrew Bushman, Mrs. Omer Fischer and Mrs. Gordon Tippler of Manitowoc, Mrs. Arthur Voelker of Sauk City and Mrs. Walter Zimmermann of rural Reedsville and 11 grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
