Wilma was born April 9, 1920 in a sod house in Mobridge, South Dakota, the oldest of six children born to Fred and Eva Steiger. She graduated from high school and obtained a provisional teaching certificate. In l965 she received a BA degree from the College of Idaho.
She taught in the Nampa, Wilder and Vallivue school systems for 34 years.
Wilma was an active member of Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, the King's Travelers RV group, and Idaho Toastmistresses .
She is survived by three daughters, Marlus Johns, of Sun City Center, FL., Marlene (Ron) Phillips, of Havana, IL. and Marcene Casper, of Nampa; two sons, Delbert (Anne) Borah, of Silverton, OR and Lyle (Marlene) Borah, of Nampa; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Dee) Steiger, of Nampa, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28th 2012 at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
