Rosary for Joseph Phillip Roessler, 72, was held at 8 p.m. Sunday in St. Paul's Catholic Church. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Roessler died Thursday, October 14, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Roessler was born April 14, 1904 in Apache, Oklahoma. He was a retired farmer who came to Electra at the age of six and resided here 66 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Anne; a son, John of El Cajon, California; three daughters, Mrs. Joan Phillips of Burkburnett, Mrs. Norma Kerns of Lake Oswega, Oregon, and Mrs. Irene Crass of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Charlie of Wichita Falls, eight sisters, Mrs. Rose Hartmangruber and Mrs. Justine Dacerner, both of San Antonio, Mrs. Agnes Jacobi and Mrs. Meta Glover, both of Vernon, Texas, Mrs. Minnie Flusche of Austin, Mrs. Marie Swindell of Vallejo, California, Mrs. Lucy Truhille of Pinole, California, and Sophie Roessler of Slaton, Texas and 12 grandchildren.
