High School. She married Pandily "Punny" Alex in 1944, he preceded her in death in 2009. "Marty" was employed at the Danville IGA Store for many years. She was also the Danville South Elementary School cafeteria cashier for several years. She was a member of Whitestone Christian Church, located six miles west of Danville on US 36, where her funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, with visitation there from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 25. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Jeanne (Tim) Humphrey, Mt. Juliet, TN; son, Michael (Jackie) Alex, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Joshua Humphrey, Katie Humphrey-Dell and Angela Perry; great-grandchildren, Marissa Lopez, Emelia Dell, Alex and Abigail Dell; sister, Letha Hiland - The Hearth at Prestwick.
