Mrs. Emma E. Pappas, 79, of 310 New Hancock St., Wilkes-Barre, died Monday evening in Mercy Hospital.
A life-long resident of Wilkes-Barre, she was born July 31, 1899.
Surviving are children, Eugene E., George R., Richard, and Mrs. Claire Brelsford, all of Wilkes-Barre; Edward, of Dallas; 11 grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Rev. Charles J. Hooker, pastor Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Wilkes-Barre City Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m.
