She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Drummonds, Tennessee, and her life centered around her love for the Lord.
She is remembmered by many as a school crossing guard in Millington for many years. She also worked in the health care profession and spent many years providing private duty care.
Mrs. Futrell was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Futrell, and her daughter, Merilyn Mixon Smith; a sister, Linda Martin and a brother, Terry Bomar.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Futrell (Janet) of Bartlett. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Phillip Mixon, Jr. of Horn Lake, MS, Rebekah Ashley of Sandy Springs, GA, Stephanie Gross, Missionary to the Republic of Moldova, and Kelly Burgin of Arlington, TN, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Helen Crigger Cemetery.
