Susanna Reardon Abraitis, 84, of Manchester, died peacefully at home on Sunday, (December 2, 2001) surrounded by her family.
Born in Manchester on August 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Rose (McClusky) Reardon McSherry, Michael Reardon and James McSherry.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen-Sue Abraitis of Manchester, Ann Marie Spalding and son-in-law, Frank of Tolland; three sons, Thomas J. Abraitis of Manchester, William F. Abraitis, Jr. of Denver, CO, and James M. Abraitis and daughter-in-law, Christine Jarvis Abraitis of Vernon; and four grandchildren, Sheralyn Abraitis, Jereme Spalding, Dustin Spalding, and Christopher Spalding. She also leaves a sister, Rose Grakowsky and brother-in-law, Patrick; two brothers, Francis Reardon and his wife, Julie of Groton and Bernard McSherry and his wife, Joyce of Mesa, AZ; and three sisters-in-law, Agnes Reardon, Lee Reardon and Irene Abraitis; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers, James Reardon and Michael Reardon.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, Manchester at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
