Bettye Jane Hillman, age 80, of Leakesville died Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Greene Rural Health Center of Leakesville, MS. Mrs. Hillman was born September 5, 1939 in Leakesville, MS. She is the daughter of the late Forrest and the late Eliza (Prentiss) Ball. She married Rev. Douglas Hillman. Mrs. Hillman was a retired Nurse that worker in the George County, Greene County and Jackson County health care systems.
She is survived by: two brothers: Reubin (Freddie Ruth) Ball of Leakesville, MS and Joseph (Darleen) Ball of Marion, TX,; sister-in-law, Shirley Ball of Escatawpa, MS. three step daughters: Carman (Pat) King of Leakesville, MS, Sandra (Gary) Brown of Leakesville, MS and Ann Margaret (David) Wagner of Leakesville, MS, and two step sons: Raymond Hillman of Leakesville, MS and Calvin (Eileen) Hillman of Leakesville, MS
Preceded in Death by: Husband, Rev. Douglas Hillman, Parents, Forrest & Eliza Ball, Brothers, Edward Ball, Millard Cooley, Marneil Cooley, Sisters, Melonee Williams, Mary Hofstetter, Merlene Hoof, Madora Blackburn, Melda Davis, Margie Newton, Special Niece and Nephew, Charlene Ball, Charles Reubin Ball
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Steve Snodgrass officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Leakesville, MS.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 17 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.
Social distancing, according to the Governor Proclamation, will be strictly enforced.
