GREENE Funeral services for Florence Meyne will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene, with Pastor Gary Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, at Reids Funeral Chapel, 519 N. First St., Greene with a Scripture service at 7 p.m.
According to booklet by Mike Barrick, Florence attended Whiskey Run School in Cumberland Co as a child. She moved to Iowa in 1932 to help her brother Amos with his family, and there she met Eldo. They were married September 1, 1936. About every two years she would return to visit family in Pennsylvania. One child, Fred, was born to Florence and Eldo.
