Pvt. Maurice R. SCHUR was born in 1910 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Benjamin "Ben" SCHUR and Yetta WOLMAN /WOLDMAN / WOLLMAN. He died September 12 1944 at age 34 in Belgium during WW2, a resident of 603 E. 106th Street, Cleveland.

He was living at 12332 Tuscora Ave., Cleveland when he was married at age 25 by Rabbi Paley on October 30, 1935 in Cuyahoga county, Ohio, to Emma Goldstein Rabinowitz, a widow age 25. She was born 1910 in Cleveland, the daughter of Philip Goldstein and Yetta Sedetsky.

Emma 1st had married Nov. 9, 1930 in Cuyahoga county, Ohio, Jack RABINOWITZ (aka ROBINS). He died suddenly, Saturday, July 16, 1932 in an auto accident in Warren, PA. Jack was the son of Bernard Rabinowitz and Yetta Rose and the brother of Bertha RABINOWITZ.

After Maurice's death, Emma married again in 1957-1958.

Maurice's funeral was Sunday, Nov 16, 1947 by the Cuyahoga County Jewish War Veterans and Rabbi Armond E. Cohen at the Berkowitz & Sons Funeral Chapel. 818 E. 105th Street, Cleveland. He was buried in the Cleveland Jewish Center Cemetery. Emma's husband, Jack RABINOWITZ /ROBINS' funeral was Sunday July 17, 1932 at Berkowitz Chapel, 818 E. 105th St, Cleveland with burial in New York City.
